Rioja Vallobera Reserva 2011
When they decided to lay the first stone of their project, over twenty years ago, the surroundings and the weight of tradition marked each step they took. The preceding generation had already contributed to the birth of their dream.
Javier San Pedro Róndez, a descendant of a line of winegrowers, decided to create Bodegas Vallobera in 1990 together with Ana Ortega, and he became the first in the San Pedro family to bottle their own wines. They started by selling young wines, but they began aging their wines in 1992.
They started with just 100 barrels; first vintage was released in 1992. Bodegas Vallobera is a family-owned bodega located in Laguardia.
Starting in manual harvest of the best Tempranillo grapes from vineyards located at Rioja Alavesa. this wine is aged for 14 months in American- French oak barrels.
